I’ve heard that phrase a lot. In the end, nothing can last forever, and we must say goodbye to friends we’ve grown close to over the years. All good things must end.

Today is the official release of Southern Devils 3: Reckoning. The book marks the end of a saga that started when I first started writing. I turned a short story into a trilogy documenting the Second American Civil War against an unholy reanimate zombie horde from the Confederate States of America. It was a take on history I wanted to play with. Now, I want to thank everyone who indulged me and on this trip we shared together.

I’ve said plenty about this series in the past, so I won’t dwell too much on it here, but there are some last words I want to impart. First, this will always be dedicated to the memory of Mark Duvall. He was the man in the series leading the charge and taking the fight to the zombies. He would have loved reading about his adventures, but he was taken from this world way too soon. I miss you, man. Second, this also dedicated to everyone who picked up the series and fought besides the Sword to protect the Union. Every day you folks inspire me to continue writing. And lastly, I dedicate this to my family. Without their support, none of this is possible.
