Greetings readers!
It has been a busy time here, and I’m hopeful you are all doing good as well. Things have happened pretty fast lately, and I needed a moment to catch my breath.
First off, I was a panelist at Dragon Con this year. Being on a zombie panel with Kevin J. Anderson and Jonathan Maberry (two authors I look up to and respect) was a fun time.
I had two stories accepted for publication in past few weeks as well. One is for an unannounced anthology (more to come) and the second, “Light One for Me”, will be in the Halloween issue of The Sirens Call eZine coming soon. “Light One for Me”, is one my favorite little tales, and I’m glad to have it out again. I will have the links out for the free issue download once it is released. The cover art for Dragonflies looks like it is complete as well.
I finally finished the first draft for Southern Devils 3. The plan is to have it out by the end of the year. I have also completed a new novelette and short story, which I plan to start shopping soon. On the WIP front, I am over halfway through a new novel about a writer losing his mind in the seclusion of his family’s old cabin, and I have the opening for the new Death INC. book finished. So, lots of stuff in the works!
The table sales went really well, and I’m eager to find new cons and places to set up again. It is an important part of getting out there to the people that I’ve sorely been behind on, but I hope to change that in the next year.
What I’m listening too: Exodus- Personna Non Grata
What I’m reading: Robert Ford- No Lipstick in Avalon
I am waiting for the school supplies to finish being moved out so I can shop Halloween sections! Have to get it in before the Christmas stuff takes over. I mean, can we get October over first?
Anyway, I hope you all have a good day, and be nice to each other.
Later,
Brent
