Armand Rosamilia dazzles us with a good question for the new year. As for my answer, I wish readers would interact more with anybody's blog. I think the reader interaction helps keep us in touch with everyone and allows a relationship to develop between the author/reader. What do you say?
Goodbye 2015 and Hello 2016
2015 was a different beast. I only had one short story hit and another accepted for a project that is coming soon. On the flip side, I had many longer collaboration projects released last year. This was very unlike me because I like to try to get a few stories tucked in here and there …

Guest Post: Jay Wilburn #WinterofZombie
Jay Wilburn figures out Jack Wallen is crazy in his in-depth look at “Middletown Apocalypse”.
Winter of Zombie 2015
All the Zombies in Middletown
by Jay Wilburn
First, it is important to understand that Jack Wallen may be insane. I think his writing is brilliant and he has the soul of an artist, but he’s packed full of crazy ideas. Middletown Apocalypse may not be his craziest idea, but it is on up there. Jack took a single story idea and gathered a number of authors together to retell it each in a different way. This then became the zombie outbreak in Middletown over and over again.
That anthology is available here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0161KA5FW
The eleven authors that took on this challenge were Joe McKinney, Mark Tufo, Armand Rosamilia, Shawn Chesser, Brent Abell, Mike Evans, John O’Brien, Eric A. Shellman, Heath Stallcup, Jack Wallen, and Jay Wilburn. I am easily the tenth best author in this list – maybe even ninth when the others are drunk…

Halloween Greetings and Some Notes
Halloween is my Christmas. Instead of snow, bright lights, and elves; I'd rather have blood, darkness, and goblins. The trees are changing and their leaves fall to the ground covering the landscape. At night, a chill fills the air and the dead grow restless. For one night, for that one evening, the dark gets domain …
And it Turned into a Middletown Blitz
I still have to pinch myself each time I look at this cover. I scan the names over and over again trying to make sense of it. Joe McKinney, Mark Tufo, Shawn Chesser, Eric A. Shelman, Heath Stallcup, Armand Rosamilia, Jay Wilburn, John O'Brien, Jack Wallen, and little old me. The names on the cover …
I Have Too Many Releases For Sale
Armand Rosamilia bemoans his ability to write at the speed of light. Honestly, I’ve set up at cons with Armand and Jay and I have taken the minimalist approach now. I’d rather choose a few titles I want to push and hope the reader will go through the rest of the books on Amazon. I know I don’t even have a fraction of Armand or Jay’s releases, but I always listen and take notes. One day, I’ll have their problem…
Jay Wilburn is a fellow author and good friend. I’ve had the privilege of doing several book signings with Jay over the last couple of years and many more are scheduled and will be done in the future.
His philosophy is simple: don’t show all your books at once. Overloading potential buyers with too many books will only confuse and annoy people, or something to that effect. I always disagreed and piled 30+ releases on the table.
Who usually sold more books? I don’t want to talk about it.
I was interviewing a fellow author for my podcast (Arm Cast: Dead Sexy Horror Podcast – HERE is the link. Go listen and then come back. I’ll wait) and we talked about having too many books and stories out and confusing readers.
Then it hit me like a ton of bricks. I have too many choices and sometimes it might be…

The Con Life
Last weekend, I traveled to Louisville, KY to participate in the second annual Imaginarium convention. It was a time of laughs, of lessons, and White Castle. I did some panels, sold some books, and hung out with some very good friends. I give my thanks to Stephen Zimmer, Frank Hall, Susan Roddey, and all of …
At Imaginarium, the Hellmouth Circle Will be Complete.
Once again this year, I will be a guest at the very cool Imaginarium Convention in Louisville, KY. this weekend. It is also a scary prospect because any time Armand Rosamilia, Jack Wallen, Jay Wilburn, and myself get together; it never is a good thing. Case in point, this weekend we officially roll out the …

The Sequel Life
Sometimes a good story needs to be told... ... or in the case of Hoboken Hellmouth, four authors couldn't leave a story alone. Solomon, the hero and reigning Hellmouth, is back for another round of crazy supernatural shenanigans in the follow up to the wildly irreverent Hollywood Hellmouth. Why did Armand Rosamilia, Jay Wilburn, Jack Wallen, …
